On the 12th June 2020 Maggie was rushed into Davies Veterinary Specialists following a sudden collapse at home causing complete paralysis.
She was diagnosed with C4-C5 disc extrusion which required immediate surgery. On the 13th June Maggie had ventral slot surgery.
This video shows her current progress in just 9 weeks. She has gone from being completely paralysed in all 4 legs to going on walks requiring less support.
In early 2023 Jewels was diagnosed with acute onset non-ambulatory tetraparesis, finding it affected her left limbs more. It was found Jewels had IVDD in discs C2-C3 which caused compression of the spinal cord. This meant Jewels lost use of all 4 legs.
Jewels began hydrotherapy with us on the 21st February 2023 and this is her journey so far!
